
The
Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is dedicated to teaching and mentoring students and professionals at all levels to foster the creation, transfer and application of knowledge on pathophysiology and human disease.
The department faculty coordinate the teaching of general and organ pathology and offer specialized pathology electives leading to the MD degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. A doctoral curriculum and research mentoring in cellular and molecular pathology lead to the PhD degree. Advanced programs beyond the doctoral level are offered for medical resident or research fellow training.
