Transitional Clerkship

The UW School of Medicine and Public Health hosts an annual Transitional Clerkship for third-year medical students about to begin their clinical clerkships.

The 2008 Transitional Clerkship was held on Monday, July 7 at the HSLC.
This is a required core curriculum activity for all rising third-year students.

Goals
The goals of this workshop are:

1. To ease the transition into third-year clerkships; and
2. To reduce student anxiety by orienting them to the unfamiliar culture, expectations, and procedures of the hospitals and clinics where they will be posted.

2008 Session Topics:
Teamwork
Processing Clinical Feedback
Gowning and Gloving Techniques
What Do 4th Year Students Have to Say?
Career Decision Making
