Recognition
The Office of Community Service Programs at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health recognizes that students do not engage in service activities in order to receive recognition. In fact, many students feel that what they gain from their service experiences far outweighs the value of the service they provide.
We do, however, believe that students who have made a significant commitment to include service activities as a responsible part of their medical education should be recognized for their contributions to society.
There are a limited number of recognition opportunities for students in each year of medical education.
