Healers Art Course

The first- and second-year of the MD Program curriculum at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison includes an elective titled Healers Art Course.

Join us for an elective course for Med 1 and Med 2 students. Topics will be explored in a laid-back setting, with small groups led by exceptional practicing physicians.

 

Topics include:

  • Discovering and Nurturing Your Wholeness
  • Sharing Grief and Honoring Loss
  • Allowing Awe in Medicine and The Care of the Soul

The Healer's Art course is based on a course designed by Rachel Naomi Remen, MD, for the UCSF School of Medicine. This one-credit class will be held on five Tuesday evenings. Class dates are in October and November from 6:30 to 9:30pm at the Wisconsin Psychiatric Institute, 6001 Research Park Blvd. There are five sessions. Carpooling can be arranged. Credit will be based on attendance.
