Platteville Fourth-Year Preceptorship in Family Medicine and Obstetrics

The MD Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison offers a fourth-year preceptorship in family medicine and obstetrics with Wendy Molaska, MD, and Aditya Sukhwahl, MD, in Platteville.

Welcome Message from Wendy Molaska, MD

Wendy Molaska, MD, Platteville PreceptorWelcome to Platteville, Wisconsin, where our multispecialty clinic provides full spectrum primary care with easy access to many medical specialists.

Students will be responsible for caring for patients in the clinic, hospital and nursing home settings and will generally be assigned to a primary care physician, either family medicine or internal medicine.

They are also encouraged to spend time with local specialists including general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, dermatology, rheumatology, ENT and orthopedics. Opportunity also exists for shift work in the Emergency Department of the hospital.

We especially encourage students to follow their patients who are also seeing these specialists, or who may need to be admitted to the hospital for a full-scope medical practice experience.

Primary care physicians at our clinic are trained and perform:

  • Cardiac stress tests
  • Obstetrical procedures including ultrasounds and deliveries
  • Gynecological procedures such as D and Cs and colposcopy
  • Vasectomy
  • Laser and cosmetic procedures

We look forward to sharing our patients with you.
