Beloit II Fourth-Year Preceptorship in Internal Medicine
Beloit Information
The MD Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison offers a fourth-year internal medicine preceptorship with Kenneth L. Gold, MD, in Beloit.
Welcome Message from Kenneth L. Gold, MD
Your experience in the internal medicine Beloit preceptorship will involve you in the care and lives of my patient population. I am what is now called a "traditionalist." I see patients in my office, hospital, nursing homes and community-based residential facilities. I also make three to six house calls per week.
I take pride in attempting to see my patients in the milieu of family and society and emphasize the "setting of illnesses" - why people become ill at a particular time.
The course of illness is the mystery that we need to unravel. Students in this preceptorship will see patients in my office daily from 8:30am-5pm as well as patients in the settings listed above.
The Beloit II preceptorship does not offer any room or board for students, but I buy any and all meals to sustain you. I am old but hopefully not "old fashioned."
