Welcome Message from John De Giovanni, MD

Welcome to Prairie du Sac. Our preceptorship is in surgery. I call it "primary care surgery" because we take complete care of the surgical patient. This means we diagnose, prepare (pre-op), operate and do complete follow-up care until the patient is discharged from care.

You will spend at least three weeks in general surgery with me. Opportunities for other experiences include obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics and primary care. You'll also enjoy the food - it's free and it's good.
