Complementary and Alternative Medicine
The first- and second-year of the MD Program curriculum at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison includes an elective course titled Complementary and Alternative Medicine: Expanding your Practice.
Complementary and Alternative Medicine: Expanding your Practice 622-733
The goal of this low-key and fun class is to introduce students to various complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) modalities used today. While it is far from comprehensive, we hope to encourage students to further study those modalities that appeal to them as well as gain insight into alternative modalities that patients may use to gain access to healthcare.
This class is meant to be an informal learning experience, with plenty of opportunities for questions and discussion. This course is one non-degree credit, graded on a pass-fail basis. Credit is earned by attending 8 of 11 lectures and the Integrative Wellness Fair in April. No homework!
