Overarching Course Goals for Integrated Dermatology

  • Build upon their knowledge of cutaneous anatomy and physiology

  • Understand the basic principles of diseases that affect the epidermis, basement membrane zone, dermis and subcutis

  • Recognize the clinical manifestations of common dermatoses

  • Correlate histopathologic findings with clinical presentation of common dermatoses

  • Understand the principles of topical and oral therapeutics in dermatology
