Transitional Clerkship

Transitional clerkshipDuring the third year, MD Program students at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health are required to attend Core Curriculum and Advising Days, which will be delivered in Madison at the Health Sciences Learning Center.

 

The first Core Day is the Transitional Clerkship, which orients students to their clinical years.

 

Each Core Day consists of active learning and professional development.

Program Goals

  1. To ease the transition into third-year clerkships
  2. To reduce student anxiety by orienting them to the unfamiliar culture, expectations and procedures of the hospitals and clinics where they will be posted
