Experimental Pathology Tutorial-Discussion Group on Inflammatory Disease Session 1
McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research
Room 128 - Multihead Microscope
Map and Directions
Anyone interested in attending is welcome and should RSVP Dr. Ruth Sullivan.
Dr. Ruth Sullivan, Veterinary Pathologist, leads a series of 1-hour tutorial/discussion groups each month to provide histology support to researchers on campus.
The 1-hour sessions will discuss:
- slides of normal tissue in question
- slides of tumors or other relevant pathology
- samples that attendees bring
- relevant immunohistochemical stains and/or "special" histological stains
Each session is limited to 4 attendees, due to the size of the microscope.
Groups will review the normal histology of the focus tissue and discuss and review common neoplasms of the tissue in animal models (primarily mouse along with some rat). Tissue from experimental animals other than rodents (for example zebrafish) can be brought to relevant sessions.
Alternative times can also be arranged by contacting Dr. Sullivan, who is also available for consultation on any animal model histology or pathology question.
Consultation, histology tutorials or other pathology support can also be scheduled at any time. Contact Dr. Ruth Sullivan to arrange an appointment.
