"Translation Across Scales: The Intersection of Cancer Biology and Micro Scale Engineering"
Learn more about:
- The intersection and synergies between basic, clinical and population research using breast cancer, colorectal cancer and cancer prevention as examples.
- How UWCCC resources and infrastructure facilitate team science that translates from the bench to the bedside to the community.
- How investigators have identified resources, collaborators and mentors to facilitate their multidisciplinary program of research.
- NCI's interest in cancer prevention spanning cellular, animal, clinical and population levels, with particular investment in obesity, inflammation and metabolic dysregulation.
Two poster sessions will enable UWCCC members to present their most recent and exciting research. The family of Harold P. Rusch will recognize outstanding Cancer Research at UW through sponsorship of three Rusch Family Awards: Basic Research, Clinical Research, and Population based Research. A certificate and a $500 prize will be presented to the UWCCC members with the best posters in these three areas.
Breakfast, lunch, and a wine and cheese reception will be provided free of charge to all registered participants.
