Walk-in specialty clinics also see patients on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8am. Translation services are available by request.

The Southside MEDiC Clinic was established in November of 1992 under the direction of Dr. Cindy Haq in response to medical student interest in more clinical volunteer opportunities.
In early 2014, the clinic moved to its new location at 2202 South Park Street, where it operates out of the Joyce & Marshall Erdman Clinic, a space generously donated by Access Community Health Centers.
The clinic has several well-equipped exam rooms, a front desk area and waiting room.
The Southside MEDiC Clinic is currently the only clinic that sees walk-in patients only. Most of the patients seen at Southside are adults without medical insurance who come from a wide geographic area.
An increasing percentage of the patients seen speak only Spanish, although patients come from a variety of backgrounds.
MEDiC operates two specialty clinics at its Southside location. Once each month, UW Dermatology faculty provide specialized dermatology services to both referred and walk-in patients.
Likewise, Physical Therapy student volunteers provide PT services at the Southside Clinic on a monthly basis.
