Game 3 - LOST 7-3

Well another game under our belts. Sounds like the LD50’s are just a bit sluggish at 6:00 p.m. – need to get those later games when they wake up a little bit and have time to re-energize!

As #1 fan I was unable to attend but hear the offense was awesome . . . oh wait . . .no that is not right . . . I think there were two other “A” words sent to me . . . let me think - - oh yeah . . . offense was ANEMIC . . . ABSENT . . . that is what it was!

I think we can just blame it on our “coach”. Had the head coach been here “coaching” instead of hobnobbing over in Italy it most certainly would have been a different outcome. We would not have had 3 consecutive innings at bat with 9 consecutive outs! Had to be that darn back spin they were putting on the ball!

BUT what about the ALMOST TRIPLE PLAY. One of the Bowl-A-Vard Gutterballs hit a fly to the outfield and Brittney snagged it (after a near collision with Craig) for the out. She gunned the ball to Rob @ first who tagged out the runner who’d left base . . .then Rob fires it to Eric on 3rd and we just missed the tag by a split second. (Of course WE all know the tag was laid down on time! We demanded a video replay to prove our point, but guess their cameras were not aimed right!)

It was around the 4th inning where our players had a couple injuries. Pat had a “personal best” when it came to contact with the ball. In her excitement to get to 1st base . . . OUCH the ole hamstring pulled and down she went! Think it was the same inning when Kevin decided to give his knee a little twist! Ice Need Ice!! – Where is the #!@#&!# cooler when we need it?

Well we sucked up our 7-3 loss and headed to the Coliseum Bar where they were quite sympathetic to our near triple play, our sleepy bats, and injuries! They gave us some complimentary nachos to eat away our pain!
