Game Summary - WON 9-8 - It Was A Barn Burner-But the Lethal Dose was delivered in the end!

IT WAS A HOME RUN!!!!

One of these two individuals had a home run? Well kinda, I mean "who"r-e-a-l-l-y counts errors anyway?

Is it the one on the right who appears to be in the middle of a "country line dance"? Or the guy on the left who we can't identify because he FORGOT his team shirt!!!

The HOMERUN on FOUR fielding ERRORS - (yes, that was 1, 2, 3, 4 errors! But who is counting) This once-in-a-lifetime award goes to our one and only - Brian Johnson!

Our 1st home run of the season. We are so vain we will TAKE IT! We are a proud team!

We had some new faces at the plate to add their skill to our well oiled unit!
Even though I "struck out" on all my responsibilities; I was allowed in the park. I actually had the audacity to arrive with:
  • NO beverages;
  • NO snacks; AND
  • was LATE so did not even keep a score book.

Therefore no details on who had hits, who had errors (we don't really count those anyway unless the other team makes them in OUR favor!)

We had some great fielding. Not sure they resulted in outs, however we will say they did or at least were a contributing factor to a great play.

    Left: Matt Brody at 3rd.
Right: Guy without a team shirt in left (aka Brian Johnson #25)
Far Right: Kevin Kauzlaric makinig play, Rob Lipinski with back to camera and he is blocking the guy without a team shirt.

As you know this game was neck and neck and ended up going into extra innings. We had some exciting moments; one or two "oh OOPs" plays. Elyse had an oops when she was on third and a line drive was hit to short - the ball was caught (he was like "WOW look what landed in my glove" - it was a split-second decision on behalf of the short stop - "hummm do I catch this in the glove or take it square in the face" - HE chose the glove! - Me, well I'd of been on the ground in fetal position with glove covering my head. Left fielder would have been shagging the ball - THAT is precisely why I carry a camera and scorebook.

It was in the 7th when we took the field and again we were short a female player on the field. So we took care of that problem - the pitch was thrown and umps yells "DEAD BALL". He said we needed a female behind the plate . . . What - Mr Ump, really, so Matt has a little facial hair - I'm telling ya sir the sex reassignment therapy is not complete. FINE we switched catchers.

Well top 8th they start with a runner on 2nd. They advance to 3rd and before long they have runners on 1st, 2nd and 3rd with one out. But NO SWEAT - we end the inning and no runs scored. So we have to get just ONE RUN to win the game.

We start our inning with Jordan as a runner on 2nd. Katie is up to bat - she connects . . . OMG a fielding error. YES, Katie delivered the Lethal Dose to bring Jordan in to win the game.

WELCOME to our newst LD50's mascot. Matthew Jacob Desotelle stepped into the line up on March 8th. He is the son of proud head coach Josh. Matthew will be in mascot training under the leadership of veteran mascot Mason Schmit.

SEE YOU ALL THIS FRIDAY NIGHT
