Game 8 - WON 4-1
 The 3-3 LD50's came up against the 4-2 Double M's
Before our game even started we had the "PAY UP" on last weeks bet. So that is out of the way! Craig is wondering now after being sick for several days "was it REALLY worth it"?
 First Inning
The LD50's were home team so they took the field. The Double M's went down in order. We came to bat and Rob started us off with a double to right field. Elyse hit to 3rd and they looked at Rob then threw to 1st - as soon as they threw the ball Rob was off to 3rd. Craig came to the plate and hit to short center to bring Rob in. Kelly flew out to 3rd and Travis came up to show "his honey" how it was done and smacked a home run for 2 RBI's. When the 1st inning wrapped up we were up 3-0.
 Second Inning
Amy caught a pop-up fly their 1st batter hit, howver their 2nd batter hit to short center to get on base. Their 3rd batter had a base hit, but the runner at 1st was FAST! He SCORED on her base hit! It was rather impressive! Next batter Rob threw to Jordan for an out at 1st and the last batter struck out.
Kevin, with his new "do-rag-bad-a**" image, lead us off with a single hit to center. Brittney flew out to third and Jordan hit a high fly to center which brought Kevin around to 3rd. Amy hit into a fielders choice and they picked Jordan off, HOWEVER Kevin came across the plate for another run. Josh flew out to center to end the inning. LD50's now up 4-1.
 Third Inning
Their 1st batter hit just over short for a base hit. Next batter hit to short left and Brittney ran in hard. . .stretched. . .and just barley caught the ball. Runner totally unaware as he assume it would never be caught, well Brittney threw the ball to Jordan at 1st for a double play! Next 2 batters got on, and Rob caught the next batter for 3rd out! SWEET INNING!
Rohinton got on base with a bunt and Rob brought him around to third on his hit to deep right. Elyse hit a pop-up to the pitcher and they threw Rohinton out at home.
Photo to right Mason picked up yet another "girlfriend" (Katie Bartels). Mom and Dad (Kelly/Travis) were playing ball, so Mason decided that he'd just "cruise chicks" while they were occupied by the game.
 Fourth Inning
Due to an error Double M's got a runner on 1st. Next batter hit a fly to Rob at short. Rob was not going to be "out done" by a girl - if Brittney could turn a double last inning, well Rob was gonna show everyone he could too. So Rob threw the ball to Jordan at 1st and got it there before the runner got back for "another double play"! Amy threw their 3rd batter out at 1st as well.
Well Craig was our 1st batter at the plate and he fouled back over his head. Some how or another, and we really don't know how yet, the catcher nabbed that ball for an out. Kelly got on due to a fielding error and got to 2nd on their overthrow. Travis came up and hit a single to left and they threw Kelly out going to 3rd. Rachel brought Travis around to 3rd and Kevin flew out to short to end the inning.
 Fifth & Sixth Innings
In the 5th Double M's had a single to start the inning off and next 3 batters went down in order. LD50's started with Brittney getting on due to field error and advanced to 2nd on another fielding error. Jordan flew out to left, Amy had a base hit then Josh & Pat both got out to end the inning.
Sixth inning Double M's got their 1st batter on due to field error and second batter walked. Josh caught fly hit by 3rd batter and fourth batter hit to second base - not sure why Josh thought he could catch that one with his "GUT" but he tried - didn't work too well though! Rob got the next batter out to end that inning. LD50's had Rob, Elyse, and Craig go down in order.
 Seventh Inning
Well Rob caught a fly to short to take out their 1st batter. But he was outdone by Brittney as she caught the last 2 batters who hit flys to left. So game is over. LD50's didn't need to bat as we were up 4-1. We move up another slot in standings. YEAH!!!

 Post Game
Sat around and enjoyed some of Jordan's home brew and discussed the game. Enjoyed watching Absolute Art get their FIRST WIN of the season (had to be the socks!).
 Mason is Pissed!
All he wanted was one of Jordan's home brews out of the "brown" no label bottle. Aunt Brittney said it would be fine. But "Mom said NO" - Well Mason, we all feel for you . . . we know you have the "meanest Mom in the world" . . . okay, so maybe the face is because Mason is scared of cameras - NAW, as reporter, this is "my story" I'm sticking with the home brew -mean Mom theory! Gotta go with the story that sells the papers!
Next Game
Rohinton says "Please, Come Join Us"
Friday, July 6th at Warner Park (diamond #1) against Mad Typing and Consulting at 8:00 p.m.
We were pounded by them the 1st round, but that is NOT going to happen this time. This game the LD50's are going to show them how this game is played! And besides, the 3 losses we had - we did not do the "LD50 hands-in GO TEAM pregame circle". We are looking foward to the post game cooler of Chris Frazee's favorite brews!
TIME IS RUNNING OUT - if you planned to come to a game there are only TWO left (well 3 if they make up the June 1st rainout) - - - come on down to the park and cheer on your LD50's!
