Research
Spring 2008, my research is focusing on the inflammatory response of the prostate to infection. More specifically, I am working on characterizing a model of prostate infection in the mouse.
Also, my lab does research in the areas of prostate development and Sonic Hedgehog signaling, as well as a little in the area of prostate cancer.
Interests/Hobbies
Most of my free time is consumed by my husband, Kevin, and my kids, two Weimaraner dogs named Jax and Ellie. They are super energetic and ready to play when I get home. I also enjoy watching sports (especially Brewers baseball, NASCAR, and Badger hockey), playing softball, curling (the sport), reading, cooking and baking, and whatever else sounds like fun at the time. I hope to do some traveling around the world too!
My husband and I bought our first house last summer and we’re starting to plan our home improvements and getting those underway this spring. We also like to spend some time planning for our dream farm that we hope to have some day. We’re both country/farm people and can’t wait to start a farm of our own!
