Grades
To make satisfactory progress toward the degree, graduate students must maintain a B average (only courses numbered 300 and above are counted). Grades of BC, C, or lower are not considered satisfactory. Grades of BC or C may be offset by grades of AB or A, on a credit-by-credit basis. However, the Graduate School reviews grades each semester and can place students who do not have a B average at that time on probation. Also, programs may require minimum grades in particular courses. All METC majors must receive a B or better in all METC core courses or they will be required to re-take the course. You may access your grades through the My UW-Madison web system. The University will not release your grades to another party without your written consent.
