Telephone
Telephones are to be used for business-related calls only. Most phones on campus do not allow long distance calling. If you need to make a business related long-distance or international call, ask your advisor for department policy. To place a call to another person on campus or to another State of Wisconsin office in Madison, dial the last 5-digits.
Example: 1. To place a call on campus, dial the last 5 digits
a. METC office number is 608/263-4580. Dial 3-4580 2. To place a call to an outside local number, dial 9, then dial the 7-digit number.
3. For long-distance calls, dial 8-1, the area code, and the full 7-digit number.
4. For international calls, dial 8-011, the country/city codes, and the full number.
