Six Months Before Final Defense
Prepare a detailed outline of thesis and distribute to research advisory committee members. Meet with committee members to secure approval of thesis outline. Make necessary changes and prepare thesis. See Graduate School Publications “A Guide to Preparing Your Doctoral Dissertation" and “The Three D’s: Deadlines, Defending, Depositing Your PhD Dissertation”.
Schedule thesis defense; and at least one month in advance of that date request warrant from the METC Graduate Coordinator. You will give your final thesis defense seminar, defend thesis, make final corrections, deposit thesis.
