New Global Health Visiting Scholar and Graduate Research Awards

With two new awards, the Global Health Institute (GHI) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison will encourage innovative research and expand global health conversations and activities on campus.

The Global Health Institute will award up to 10 Graduate Student Research Awards and five Visiting Scholars in Global Health Research Awards May 15.

Applications are due by Tuesday, April 30.

The Graduate Student Research Awards in Global Health will support PhD students pursuing innovative research in any relevant discipline. The awards of up to $5,000 cannot be used to fund salaries, tuition or stipends and preference will be given to pre-dissertators who are exploring potential topics that will enhance global health activities at the UW-Madison and beyond.

Award recipients also will be required to attend at least two Global Health Institute brown-bag lunches each semester and present their plans or findings at one of them.
