Robert Dempsey Named Chair of Neurosurgery Teaching Organization

Robert DempseyDr. Robert J. Dempsey, professor and chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, recently became chair of the Foundation for International Education in Neurological Surgery (FIENS).

 

The Foundation for International Education in Neurological Surgery, founded in 1969, establishes programs and trains specialty doctors in over 24 countries, including eight with more than one site. FIENS is an entirely volunteer organization.

 

Prior to becoming Chair, Dr. Dempsey was the secretary of the Foundation for International Education in Neurological Surgery. He is also a member of The Board of Directors.
