Health First Wisconsin is teaming with Richard Brown of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health to address risky alcohol use.

Community-Academic Partnership Fund Request for Proposals Released

The Wisconsin Partnership Program seeks proposals that combine the skills of Wisconsin community-based organizations and government agencies with those of an academic partner to address the health needs of Wisconsin.

 

The Oversight and Advisory Committee (OAC) expects to make approximately $2.5 million in awards during the 2011 funding cycle.

 

There are two types of grants available:

Implementation Grants, up to $400,000 for three years for projects that either employ or test evidence-based health interventions; and Development Grants, up to $50,000 for up to two years for the development of new partnerships, demonstration or pilot projects or smaller implementation projects. Read More

Cotton named Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families Program Officer

Quinton CottonQuinton Cotton, who coordinated the Milwaukee Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families' work during the planning process, has been named WPP Program Officer for the Lifecourse Initiative for Healthy Families. He will join the Wisconsin Partnership Program in July. Read More

Responding to the evolution of its funding patterns and the transformation of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health, the Medical Education and Research Committee (MERC) renamed itself the Wisconsin Partnership Program Education and Research Committee (PERC). Read More
