Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Thank you for your interest in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The program is three years in length and emphasizes classroom and clinical learning experiences. Full-time clinical practicums are interspersed between academic terms, and four full-time nine-week clinical internships follow the didactic portion of the program. Sign Up for Our Golf Outing

 

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Student Organization will hold its first golf outing fundraiser September 16 at Yahara Hills Golf Course in Madison. The money raised from this event will be used to purchase supplies for the student-led pro-bono clinic, purchase supplies for global health trips, help fund the medical student body-donor ceremony, and for professional development funds to send students to different conference and educational opportunities.

Helping Kids Get Moving

 

GoBabyGo is an outreach program that modifies toy ride-on cars for children with mobility impairments. The project is an innovative joint venture of UW physical therapy, occupational therapy and engineering students along with American Family Children's Hospital therapists.

DPT Students Receive Awards

 

Sarah Steinman (Hobbs), DPT class of 2014 received the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) 2017 Emerging Leader award. This Award was established to annually honor individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary service to the profession and APTA early in their careers.
