Blanket Drive Under Way at UW Health OB/GYN Clinics

Madison, Wisconsin - With winter approaching, the warmth of a blanket will be handy for many needy mothers, newborns and adolescent children.

UW Health obstetrics and gynecology clinics will accept donations of new and gently used blankets at their seven locations through November 20:

  • 20 S. Park St.
  • 202 S. Park St.
  • East Clinic; 5249 East Terrace Drive
  • East Towne Clinic; 4122 East Towne Blvd.
  • Fitchburg Clinic; 5543 Cheryl Parkway
  • West Clinic; 451 Junction Road
  • West Towne Clinic; 7102 Mineral Point Road.

The blankets will then be delivered to the Harambee Center, 2202 S. Park St., for distribution.

"At this time of the year, extending ourselves in all ways possible to those less fortunate is vitally important and part of who we are," said Dr. Laurel Rice, professor and chair of obstetrics and gynecology at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
