This program provides each incoming medical student with a stethoscope – purchased by us, the alumni. Stethoscopes, along with a card bearing the donor’s name and class year, will be presented to incoming students during orientation week. Donors and their students then have the opportunity to connect with one another at the WMAA barbecue and again during the Homecoming Reception.
With a gift of $150, you will be sponsoring an incoming student with a stethoscope – or a donation of $500 gifts a stethoscope plus additionally supports the WMAA-sponsored programs of one student for all four years of medical school, so you can follow your student through four years of schooling, match day and graduation! And become members of the Stethoscope Circle by pledging a stethoscope gift annually.
Show our new first-year medical students that the circle of alumni support that surrounds them is strong! The gift is a great way to welcome them into our UW medical family – and to let them know that those who went before them care, believe in their success, and take great pride in the medical profession.
Thank you in advance for your support! Our role as alumni is crucial in helping make a positive difference in the lives of medical students during their education here. Donate online
Traditional funding sources cover only the school's most basic operating costs. Your gift to the School of Medicine and Public Health's Annual Fund provides dollars that can be used to attract the best students and faculty.
These funds give the school the flexibility to respond to unexpected opportunities. They are used for faculty support, scholarship aid, technology, seed funding for new programs, translational research and outreach programs. Donate online
