WMAA Service Award

The University of Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association WMAA Service Award honors an alumnus who has exhibited exceptional commitment to the WMAA over the years.

Sandra L. Osborn, MD '70

Dr. Osborn's commitment to the Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association has been remarkable. She served as president of the association from 2006 to 2008, has been a member of the Board of Directors for many years and is now a member of the board's Executive Committee.

She served on the Search and Screen Committee for the selection of the current Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association executive director. She is chair of the Events Committee and a member of both the Awards Committee and the Quarterly Editorial Board.

As the longtime representative for her class, Dr. Osborn works closely with the Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association to arrange reunions and help her classmates stay connected to the school.

Outside of the Wisconsin Medical Alumni Association, she has been a mentor to the Class of 2006. She also has been heavily involved with the Wisconsin Medical Society, serving as president for one term.

Dr. Obsorn is a pediatrician who worked at Madison East Clinic (later Dean Clinic) for 29 years.
