Statewide Health Assessment
A major consideration in the development of the Wisconsin Partnership Program's five-year plan is the Medical Education and Research Committee-funded initiative, Making Wisconsin the Healthiest State.
The findings of this project are available in two companion reports — the Health of Wisconsin Report Card and Opportunities to Make Wisconsin the Healthiest State. The Wisconsin Partnership Program will use the results of this project to direct and focus resources during the next five years.
Making Wisconsin the Healthiest State aims to:
- Characterize the population health of Wisconsin (including disparities) and compare to the nation
- Identify evidence regarding the most effective policies and programs in altering determinants to improve outcomes
- Develop recommendations for a balanced health investment portfolio of policies and programs to guide Wisconsin toward becoming the healthiest state
