Henry Anderson Award inspires confidence, buoys work in One Health

Thanks to the first Henry A. Anderson III Graduate Student Award in Environmental, Occupational and Public Health, Laurel Myers, a UW-Madison DVM/MPH candidate, spent a month this summer with Madagascar Health and Environmental Research vaccinating chickens as part of a project to improve human health.

Barb Duerst earns Dean's Teaching Award

Congratulations to our very own Barb Duerst on her recent Dean's Teaching Award, which recognizes her incredible contributions to not only the MPH Program, but the entire School of Medicine and Public Health community. Those familiar with the MPH Program know that Barb has provided leadership and instruction to our program for more than a decade. We couldn't be more proud of this great accomplishment! 

Samantha Aisen earns Distinguished Poster Award

May 4, 2018

Master of public health student Samantha Aisen was awarded the Distinguished Poster Award at the UniverCITY Year Dane County Reception on May 4. Sam's poster was a continuation of the work she did in POP HLTH 780: Public Health Principles and Practice in the fall of 2017. Co-authors on the poster were MPH students Mitch Running and Lily Thompson.
