The Master of Public Health Student Organization (MPHSO) was founded to increase student cohesiveness and class dynamics by having social and networking events, give MPH students a voice in program decision-making, and establish partnerships with state and local health agencies to promote health on campus and in the community.

How to get involved

Our General Organization meetings are held monthly during the Fall and Spring semesters in the Health Sciences Learning Center. The meeting time is determined based on class schedules for the current cohorts.  All MPH students are welcome to attend meetings.

We typically hold monthly events. Some of our activities include:

  • networking events with public health professionals and other UW health profession students
  • mentoring program that pairs first year & second year MPH students
  • volunteer opportunities
  • social events
