The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health has scholarship funds available for MD-MPH students seeking support for their public health training and education. These scholarships support tuition and fees for one year while the student is enrolled in the MPH program.

Farrell Shapiro MD-MPH Scholarship

Since 2005, the School of Medicine and Public Health has supported the public health education of MD-MPH students, using funds donated to the School in recognition of the leadership of former Dean Phillip Farrell. The income from this endowment is intended to encourage and support MD-MPH students interested in integrating public health in their medical education. MPH capstone projects should include work with an underserved population, in a community setting and/or focusing on a health disparity. One $15,000 award per year will be available.
