The following faculty physicians at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health have interest and experience in at least one of the following types of advocacy:

  • Advocacy through organizations (e.g., professional medical societies, hospital system, etc)
  • Advocacy in the community (e.g., with community groups, non-profits, schools, libraries, or faith organizations)
  • Policy/legislative advocacy (e.g., to help change laws, regulations, or policies at the national, state, and/or local level)
  • Individual level advocacy (e.g., advocacy with patients and families in the clinic regarding medical decision-making and/or access to resources to foster health)

They can serve as a resource for students interested in discussing the integration of advocacy and medicine.
