Through partnerships across the state, the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health prepares new physicians to serve in diverse health care settings. Clinical education at four regional campuses and in dozens of statewide clerkship sites offer students experience in rural communities, midsize cities and urban centers.
One of our statewide partners is Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. Students, including those in the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine (WARM), train side by side with attending physicians in a 167-bed inpatient hospital and network of clinics in surrounding communities. For students planning careers in rural medicine, Aurora BayCare offers unique opportunities to connect classroom learning with hands-on patient care.
