Maria Nikodemova

Maria Nikodemova’ s role at the Survery of Public Health of Wisconsin (SHOW) is to facilitate transdisciplinary research examining the multiple determinants of health and health disparities in Wisconsin by diverse groups of investigators. In her position she promotes the use of SHOW’s research infrastructure and biorepository in new grant submissions by investigators on and off the UW-Madison campus.

Prior to her work on the Survey of the Health of Wisconsin, Nikodemova completed her post-doctoral training at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda and later worked as a basic research scientist at the UW-Madison studying the role of the immune system in CNS disorders. She was also involved with the Wisconsin Sleep Cohort study, investigating the association of sleep apnea and cognition.
