Colleen Cobey is a member of the teaching faculty in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Her teaching responsibilities include Anatomical Applications in Physical Therapy (PT 501), Foundations of Physical Therapy Examination, Evaluation, and Intervention (PT 527 and PT 534). She also has a clinic appointment at University Health Services.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA)’s orthopedic academy. Her research focuses on identifying reliability between physical therapy examination measurement tools.
Cobey earned a bachelor of science degree in physical therapy from Ohio University in 1988, an orthopedic manual therapy residency from Kaiser Permanente in 1992, a master’s degree in exercise physiology from Ohio University in 2006, and a doctor of health science from the University of Indianapolis in 2023.
She received the outstanding alumni award from Ohio University’s College of Health and Human Services in 2009.
