Jeniel Nett, MD, PhD
Associate Director
Jeniel Nett became an associate director of the UW Medical Scientist Training Program in 2021. She has joint appointments in the Departments of Medicine and Medical Microbiology & Immunology. Nett is a physician-scientist with a clinical interest in medical mycology. Her research interests include host-pathogen interactions and biofilm formation for the fungal pathogens Candida auris and Candida albicans.
Nett completed a PhD in cellular and molecular biology in 2009 at UW–Madison, and completed her clinical training in internal medicine, women’s health, and infectious diseases in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
