Jenny Rietzler, MS, CGC

Jenny Rietzler is the student inclusivity and community outreach coordinator for the Master of Genetic Counselor Studies (MGCS) program. She works with the MGCS leadership team to foster an equitable and inclusive program, facilitating connections between current students and prospective students and program alumni, as well as building relationships within the institution and the community. She also supports students in the program as a rotation supervisor, research mentor and instructor.
Rietzler is also a genetic counselor and director of communications with the non-profit organization, Genetic Support Foundation (GSF), providing clinical care primarily in the reproductive setting.
Rietzler received her undergraduate degree in cytogenetics from Saint Mary’s University in Winona, MN, in 2012 and her MS in medical genetics from UW–Madison in 2016. Prior to working with the MGCS program, Rietzler was a founding faculty member with the University of Washington’s Genetic Counseling Graduate program. She developed and instructed the Reproductive Genetics course for their inaugural cohort.
