Lisa Fisher, BS

Lisa Fisher is the Medical Program Assistant for the MGCS program and for the Division of Genetics and Metabolism in the Department of Pediatrics. She is the first point of contact for applicants to the MGCS program and coordinates all administrative needs, from the application process to onboarding and offboarding students, course scheduling and event planning.
Prior to coming to the MGCS program, she spent many years as a preschool assistant teacher and as an in-home caregiver for people with disabilities.
In 2020, Fisher was one of several recipients of the Friends of the Waisman Center University Staff Award, in recognition of her exceptional job performances, skills and accomplishments.
Fisher holds an associate degree in Human Services from Madison College and a bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Upper Iowa University.
