Tracy Hilger is the campus coordinator at the UW-Stevens Point at Wausau distant campus. She manages daily operations of the didactic phase, serves as a liaison between students and faculty, and works closely with UW-Stevens Point leadership and program personnel. Hilger also supports the clinical phase by visiting students and preceptors during rotations, as well as creating and maintaining relationships within the area’s health systems and communities.
Hilger assists with admissions advising for prospective students. She is active on the Advisory Board at Medical College of Wisconsin – Central Wisconsin Campus and serves as a community partner for Providers and Teens Communicating for Health (PATCH) in Wausau.
Before joining the UW Master of Physician Assistant Studies (PA) program in August 2019, Hilger worked as a social worker and completed child forensic interviews as part of the criminal process, testified in court and supported survivors of abuse and assault. She has more than 30 years of administrative experience across various health and education agencies. Hilger graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a bachelor of science degree and has always called north central Wisconsin home.
