The Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine program aims to increase the number of physicians practicing in rural Wisconsin and to improve the health of Wisconsin communities.
Your gift assists us in targeting medical school applicants with rural backgrounds and an affinity for a career in rural medicine, providing rural-based training during the third and fourth year of medical school, promoting rural residencies and increasing the number of UW School of Medicine and Public Health graduates practicing medicine in rural Wisconsin.
Through these means your gift ultimately provides improved access to care, population/community health and health promotion and disease prevention for Wisconsin's rural citizens.
