Graduate Programs

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health has a broad range of graduate programs providing state-of-the-art training in modern biological sciences as well as diverse disciplines, such as Medical Physics, History of Medicine and Population Health Sciences.

 

While in most cases graduate education at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health leads to the PhD degree, a few programs also offer an MS degree. The medical school also has a Medical Scientist Training Program, leading to an MD/PhD degree.

 

Additionally, many of the UW School of Medicine and Public Health graduate programs are cross-departmental and draw on faculty from many departments within the UW-Madison scientific community. This mix of disciplines and depth of graduate faculty expertise within the School of Medicine and Public Health offers graduate students an intellectually stimulating environment in which to carry out their studies.
