Contacting the program at the time of death

Jean von Allmen
Jean von Allmen, program administrator

At the time of death, the next-of-kin or caretaker should notify the Body Donor Program as soon as possible by telephone at 608-262-2888 (weekdays) or 608-262-2800 (after hours, weekends and holidays). This should be done as soon as possible because time can affect whether a donation is accepted or not.

After hours, weekends and holidays, call 608-262-2800 only regarding a death. If no one answers, please leave a message. The mortician on call may also be paged by calling the UW Message Center at 608-262-2122.
