MPA-MPH

The Master of Public Affairs-Master of Public Health (MPA-MPH) dual degree program prepares health policy professionals for roles as policy analysts and public managers in health care.

Students gain skills in public health policy and management necessary to address complex health issues. Students complete the 61-credit program in a shortened timeline due to overlapping courses from each program. The entire dual degree program takes about three years to complete.

The MPA-MPH dual degree requires that students apply and be admitted to the La Follette School of Public Affairs and Master of Public Health program separately. Students can apply to both programs at the same time, or apply to one program while enrolled in the other. To maximize time spent in both programs, it is recommended that students be admitted to both programs within one year.
