Students observing physical therapy practices in a hands-on classroom environment

DPT Facilities

The University of Wisconsin–Madison campus occupies ancestral Native American (Ho-Chunk) land. The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) facilities are located in the Medical Sciences Center building, in the heart of campus. The building was the original “Wisconsin General Hospital” until 1979, when UW Hospital moved to its current location and UW–Madison converted its use to classrooms.

State-of-the-Art Environment

The Health Sciences Learning Center on the west side of campus was expanded and redesigned to allow for innovative delivery of course content in 2018.  Customized community areas, a medical history library and walk-through access to UW Hospital make this a wonderful place to study and learn.

Learning While Doing

The Wichman Clinical Teaching and Assessment Center is an exceptional clinical simulation facility, where future health care professionals can hone their skills with access to standardized patients and the latest educational technology.

Our instructional spaces were designed to allow for innovative delivery of course content, and can be modified for collaborative work.
