Patrick McKenna, MD, chief of the Division of Pediatric Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, has assumed the role as president of the American Association of Clinical Urologists (AACU).

“I am excited and proud to lead this dynamic organization,” said McKenna. “I look forward to leading this organization with its focus on socioeconomic issues and the care of the patient to ensure that the urologic community is effectively represented.”

As president of the AACU, McKenna will advocate on behalf of the urologic community to inspire positive change in the U.S. health care system.

McKenna previously served as AACU state society network chair and north central section representative to the board of directors.

The AACU is the only national organization representing urologists focused solely on socioeconomic issues. It seeks to preserve and promote the professional autonomy of its members and support the highest quality of care for patients.
