Using dysphagia as a model, Dr. Rogus-Pulia will examine how precision health approaches that account for underlying mechanisms and individual context can improve access to rehabilitation and advance equitable care delivery, improving access to specialized care—especially in rural and under-resourced communities.
Dr. Li will introduce specialized deep learning models his lab developed to detect medical tools, recognize care activities, characterize parents’ response, and quantify diagnostic signals. He will then present ongoing work toward generalist MLLMs for streaming video understanding, including integrating multimodal signals beyond video and text, developing long-term memory for continuous video streams, and enabling richer interaction between AI models and human users.
This accredited bi-monthly one-hour educational series connects frontline clinicians, champions in artificial intelligence (AI) applications in healthcare, and researchers to learn about and discuss leveraging AI technologies in healthcare settings within UW Health and beyond, rapidly evolving AI solutions, and AI governance.
