The Science and Medicine Graduate Research Scholars (SciMed GRS) program has reached its 10-year milestone.
Under the capable leadership of Director Sara Patterson, PhD, a professor in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, SciMed GRS tangibly improved recruitment, retention and community at UW–Madison for underrepresented graduate students in the biological sciences, and thereby enriching the educational and research experience for all.
Now moving into its second decade, SciMed GRS seeks a new director, as Patterson plans to retire in the spring of 2019. A search committee including members from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, School of Medicine and Public Health, School of Veterinary Medicine and School of Pharmacy released a formal PVL with an application deadline of January 14, 2019.
The committee invites applications from tenured faculty of the four participating schools or colleges.
