Meeting you: Listening and learning
As I cross the four-month mark as Dean, I reflect on how energizing it has been. Between many meetings, strategy sessions, reading, learning and lots of listening, it has been a joy to experience many “firsts.”

On Purpose, a blog by Dean Nita Ahuja, MD, MBA, shares monthly inspiration, ideas and ways to engage within the school community and beyond.
Drawing on Badger spirit, Dean Ahuja’s writings explore research, teaching and service at the nation’s first school of medicine and public health. She encourages everyone to explore their curiosity, push boundaries and innovate boldly as we put the Wisconsin Idea into action.
On Purpose is sent to all faculty, staff and students in the school and made available for wider reading.

From groundbreaking medical advances to bold new partnerships, our vision has always been about impact and evolution. Together, we will shape a lasting legacy and drive the future of health.

Introducing On Purpose, a blog bringing you monthly inspiration, ideas, and ways to engage. I’m deeply grateful for the warm welcome and inspired by the collaboration, compassion, and curiosity in our community. I look forward to working together to put the Wisconsin Idea into action.
