Benjamin T. Jarman, MD, is the associate dean for the Gundersen Health System/Western Academic Campus of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He is responsible for the overall regional oversight and success of the affiliated teaching site, providing supervision of education leaders and ensuring that appropriate operational and infrastructure support is provided to support high quality educational and student experiences. Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, is a partner in our Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine (WARM).

Jarman is a board-certified general surgeon and has interests in general, rural and global surgery, as well as surgery education. He serves as the Vice President of Medical Education and Designated Institutional Official for Gundersen Health System.

Jarman earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine.
