Matthew J. Jansen, MD, is the associate dean for the Marshfield Clinic Health System/Northern Academic Campus. He is responsible for the overall regional oversight and success of the affiliated teaching site, providing supervision of education leaders and ensuring that appropriate operational and infrastructure support is provided to support high quality educational and student experiences. The Marshfield Clinic Health System/Northern Academic Campus is located at the Marshfield Clinic, which in 2009 became the first host site for medical students in the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine (WARM). Marshfield Clinic has continued to serve as a teaching site since then.

Jansen is an internist who specializes in primary care. His interests include medical education and the full spectrum of adult medicine.

Jansen earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in 1994. He completed an internship and residency at Marshfield Clinic/Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield.
